Member of the “ISM”-team at dredging company  “ van Oord “ . Implementing the ISM code on board and on shore.

Member of the  Boskalis Westminster  SHE-Q department .

Internal ISM auditor for a fleet of 35 seagoing dredgers.

Planning and arranging external audits, inspections and follow up on the corrective measures.

Safety advise and inspections on the auxiliary vessels , stationary units and dredging projects.

Reflagging the Boskalis fleet to Cyprus flag.

Updated the Boskalis management system “Q-Aid” to the Cyprus Maritime and new Marpol legislation.

Captain and chief officer on all sizes  hopper dredgers. From 1000 up to 20000 cbm

Captain on various large self-propelled cutter dredgers.

On board instructor for dredging and manoeuvring technics.



Captain on DP side stone dumping vessels.

Chief mate on anchor handler and diving support vessels.

Owners rep. on a DP2 class cable lay vessel.

Start-up captain on a wind farm construction vessel after a 2 year lay-up period.


Captain on deep sea and coastal tugs in the 15 to 60 ton BP range.



Captain on container and  ro-ro vessels with a world-wide  trading area.

Chief officer on general cargo, bulk and container vessels. World-wide trade.

Other :

Experienced with  a wide range of propulsion systems such as azipods, Voith Schneider, schottel, cpp and fixed propellers.
